Years ago I was sitting at a table for dinner with a bunch of long distance running enthusiasts.
They were all talking about how long distance running was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then one of them made the comment, “running is the greatest form of exercise and the most effective way to lose weight.”
I had to speak up.
Now don’t get me wrong, running is a great form of exercise and if it is your thing then more power to you.
But to say that it is the most effective way to lose weight is just ignorant.
The best way to lose weight is simply any form of exercise that you are interested in enough to perform regularly and consistently in order to burn enough calories to make you lose weight, 朝倉 未来 youtube that and disciplined eating.
But ideally cardio work AND weight training are the way to go if you want to burn calories as fast and effectively as possible. The more muscle you have the faster you will burn calories as muscle needs more calories than fat does.
So, what does any of this have to do with kettlebells being better than dumbells?
There are people who swear by kettlebell training and others who totally bash it like it’s just a gimmick that is worse or the same as dumbell training.
The truth however is more complicated and interesting.
Are kettlebells better than dumbells?
It depends on what your training goals are.
The main difference between a kettlebell and dumbell is that the kettlebell’s weight is beneath the handle so the weight can extend beyond the hand.
This enables movements that aren’t possible with traditional dumbbells.
This also enables one to train all planes of movement within given exercises.

The simple answer is yes, they are good for that but lifting heavy barbells while performing squats, deadlifts, overhead presses and bench presses is the best and most effective way for developing mass and power.
